The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) has ruled that the United States industry has not been materially harmed or threatened with material injury as a result of imports of certain glass wine bottles from China.
As a result of the Commission's negative ruling, no countervailing duties will be imposed on glass wine bottles imported from China. Chairman Amy Capel and Commissioners David Johnson, Rhonda Schmittlein and Jason Kearns voted against it.
The U.S. International Trade Commission will issue a notice on Certain Glass Wine Bottles from China by October 30, 2024, in which the Commission's comments and information about the investigation process will be documented.
